Thrifty car rental — Chicago, IL

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

Rental rates shift based on a few key factors. When you book your car, the type of vehicle you choose impacts the daily rate, as premium SUVs or luxury models carry a higher premium than compact sedans. Your location also matters; renting at an airport is usually more expensive than picking up from a neighborhood branch due to local taxes and facility fees. The timing of your reservation—booking last minute versus planning weeks ahead—can also change the total. Exact pricing confirmed free on the call.
